Landscape Photography by Paul Griffiths

I'm a photographer fortunate enough to live in the Peak District. Landscapes inspire me but they can come in many guises: grand, awe inspiring vistas but also in the tiny glimpses of beauty that bring joy, or in transient light or weather phenomena which can transform a familiar view into something spectacular. The right light enables the colour, form and texture of a scene to spring to life and that's what I try to observe and capture.
I work in both colour and black and white, depending on the subject and light. All work is hand printed using archival quality inks and the best papers available.  I've spent years climbing and cycling throughout the Peak District and now pursue photography full-time, having spent many years gazing through the office window longing to be outside.
